Well, yeah. I've been following this thread since its creation. This Loopy person seems to have found this key. If he has, then it seems more than likely that he will be developing something privately now. That's what it looks like anyway, I could be wrong. But anyone else could find the common key before Loopy releases anything, it just depends. Bushing may have something under the hood, we just don't know. Just wait and see. I'm sure something will be out in the coming months/weeks.

My guess is so that nintendo can't patch it up, other can't steal/screw it up, and to avoid things like what happened on the bruteforcer thread

In all due respect, Rider, I highly doubt you'd be able to help if you don't have programming experience. Hacking takes a lot of work and knowledge, and if you can't even program than you stand no chance.

If you look at the DSi Common Key Bruteforcer link posted earlier, you'll see that he's made things like SNESDS, FlashMe and all that. So it is more than likely that he is telling the truth here. Well, I hope he is. He's just keeping it all secret as of now.

Welcome to the beta testing club. Along with about 1.000 other people.

Yet, there's nothing to test... so why are you asking? The only testing that will be done is by the coders and/or very technological oriented people. I mean VERY, so that people like you (Random guys asking to beta test software that hasn't been coded yet) don't fuck up their systems and get angry.

if you want to learn to code, learn the basics. this you can do at a class or a good book.
then you need to learn how to use davkitpro
thats harder. that is where your coding skills get function calls to things that interact with the system.
in this instance the libARM if im not mistaken...
i code for the wii using C and some C++ so i do not know DS...
i just know that devkitpro caters to ds development but so do other libs like palib.

i recomend starting coding C, get a C for dummies book, they are good.
although i was introduced to Microsoft QBASIC, which is a great start, very easy and direct. you may be able to jump straight into C

C makes you do a lot more things from ground up but that adds to its versatility...

anyway, most homebrew uses C or C++ and is compiled using devkitpro.
