Multi-cart epic RPGs, anyone?

Don't think so.. making a game that works only on the DSi is ignoring 80 million DS owners out there.. and anyway, DQIX (if that's what you're talking about) is in production for more than 2 years already, don't think they even considered this. 256MB should be enough space.

With the two cameras and all, it's likely that there will be some games that're DSi exclusives only. The fact that the DSi can use SD cards, there will eventually be an exploit to let you load backup games off of them, meaning that FCs may not be needed anymore if they don't work. Regardless, I might consider buying an DSi just for the new features.

couldn't nintendo just update the firmware on the ds to add this feature to the ds phat/lite? let's say they bring out a multi-cart rpg, they can have firmware updater included with it as a separate cart or something...
