Hacking DSi 1.4 Ready Update

im about to buy an acekard 2i for my friend on her bday
im confused on the 1.4 ready udate thing
does that mean if i have a dsi that has 1.4 firmware already on it
i just put in the acekard 2i in the dsi (tht has 1.4 firmware on it) and just start playing it like a normal ds cart

If its 1.4 ready you will not have to update the AK2i yourself.

yes but if i were you i would update yourself when the update is on the site here and why pay 5 extra dollars when you can do it in like 2 minutes

Umm actually its +$2. I would buy it if i were you, just to be safe for it to not brick

Plus don't forget that it is useful for people who don't have access to a DS or DSL, or Don't have a 1.3 and below DSI.

true if you only have a dsi 1.4 then buy it but if you have a dsl and 2 flash cards just ot be on the safe side of recovering from a brick
