i had been playing on my ds for weeks, never noticed, until today i tilted the console and noticed screens got a dark somewhat round area in the center

if i am looking at the screen from the correct position i can't see it at all, only can see it tilted

the screen is cleaned, my first thought was to clean it.. but didnt helped...

so what can this be? is the screens dying? or just humidity? should i try to regulate the screen "regulators"?

click picture for zoom, was too large..

Probably a problem with the screen or LCD. Try getting replacement ones or regulate them.

thats what i wanted to figure out..
i mean, i dont notice it on game, but now that i seen it, i am afraid that the screen is gonna die soon

i am also thinking it can be just stuck humidity, not sure how to remove it :/

You know those small gel packs they add in with shoes that you're not allowed to eat? Try placing your DS lite in a box with a pack of silica gel and make sure your DS lite isn't closed.

Do that if you think it's just humid

I don't think you have to worry about the screen dying, it doesn't look like an issue with the screen to me. It could just be humidity like you say, but it doesn't really affect gameplay since it's only visible from an angle. I wouldn't worry about it.
Getting rid of humidity from tight inaccessible areas is near impossible anyway. Putting it in a sealed box with a dessicant like silica gel is worth a shot but if it doesn't help there's not much else you can do. And if you live in a very humid environment then it's likely the same thing will happen again.

that reminds me, i need to find silica gel to put inside my boxes with games..

i never seen that bags of silica gel for sale, do you know which area or store i can get them?
i sometimes see them inside of shoe boxes or new travel bags, but never seen them for sale on retail...

I believe they never sell them because they're poisonous. If you can't find any silica gel packs, grains of rice is a good alternative.

I don't know about silica gel, but there are other dessicants you can buy and some of them are even reusable (they can be dried in the oven)

every lcd/plasma screen has a backlight, just it might look like it's a layer of the screen itself, leds around the display, leds behind the display, one single ultra bright led. without it all will have looked like the dark spot.
