I'm planning to get the DSTwo and I trying to decide on DS Lite or DSi. I can use the DSi other features, but the DS Lite has a GBA slot. (I'm getting a 3ds after this) The DSi and DS Lite are in similar price. $35~$50. Which one?

Personally I hate the DSlite's Buttons. TOO mushy for my liking, and unlike the WiiMote's. DSi however, is relatively nice and clicky. However, since you are getting a 3DS, perhaps the Lite is the better option assuming you have GBA games/gba flashcart. You should probably go with the Lite.

Get a DSiXL.
Best screens, decent buttons and d-pad.
I kept a DSL for the GBA slot as well ( but only for the GH grip and such, for GBA games I have a GBA SP2 and an M3 perfect miniSD and it's the best way to enjoy GBA games IMO ) , but after playing on the XL, I just can't bring myself to look at the tiny screen, and I rarely, rarely use it.

If I get the DSi no EZ-Flash 3 in 1, plus im getting a 3ds xl.

If better homebrew is his goal, then fine, but the best thing is to probably get a DSi. With the DSTWO, you can get TEMPgba and run most GBA games perfectly anyways.

DS Lite is much cheaper, you'll want Slot II w/ an ez flash 3 in 1. I still stick with a CycloDS, but it's out of date compared to the DSTwo. Bottom line is get a DS Lite.

I would say since you're getting a 3DS anyway, just go with the DS Lite and save your money.
The DSi doesn't have much extra to offer, but the few DSiWare games that are worth your money are available on the 3DS too.

I used to have a DS lite but my teacher took it. What does the buttons feel like compared to dsi?
Your teacher took it and didn't give it back?
You should probably tell that to your principal... He probably gave it to his kid or something.

Anyway, I love the soft feel of the DS Lite buttons but it's very subjective.

people, just get a ds lite.

i used to like the clicky buttons of DSi until i realized they wear out faster and lose responsiveness. also now i think the bigger screen of DSi XL are unnessary, as the actual resolution is the same, they just enlarged each individual pixel, so its down to personal preference.

although DS Lites are notoriously fragile. not for noobs. so you need a nerf rubber case or "Logitech Playgear pocket" case, also it couldent hurt to learn basic electronics and get a soldering iron and practice soldering skills, so if you need to replace a shoulder button its not a big deal.
