Hacking DS Lite has high pitched start up tone

Hi there.

So i dropped my DS the other day from about half a meter off the ground onto carpet. Ever since, it makes a higher picthed than normal tone when its powered on.

I hope its not about to die, anyone know whats going on?

You probably set your birthday date on your DS to today, wait a day, it will change back to normal.

Yeah bro, that's the sound it makes when it's your birthday. Just go into the settings and click the green person icon, and change your birthday to either your real one or just put it to be yesterdays date or something.

Whats funny is had I known of the existence of GBATemp when I got my first DS I would have been making this post as well.

Try going into Pictochat on your birthday

I reacted in a similar way when I first heard it, took me a week or so before a friend of mine told me what it really was

Dsi doesn't do it anymore....
But the Pictochat still informs everyone that it's your bday
