6.- Unlock SD access into the NTR mode (DS).

I'm following both nds-bootstrap and TWLoader progress, but by reading the first post, I've got interest in this specific mention.
I know this is used in the "Add Games" feature of TWLoader, but is there any homebrew dedicated exclusively to exchange files between slot-1 microSD and 3DS SD?

I really don't like to keep pulling out the slot-1 microSD to just copy a bunch of files, or backup NDS save files, when I could move them between SDs using nds homebrew, and then move to PC using FTPd on 3DS. I've lost a microSD before because it scratched the contacts from removing/inserting way too many times between R4 and adapter to be read in PC.
Also, I have a FTPd nds, but it is too slow and I need to enable a WEP wifi.

100% possible, not even very hard. not sure (dont remember) if LGYFB's builtin filtering method would allow that directly (i suspect it would), but even if not you could just grab the original framebuffer and upscale it with the GPU. (twl_bg already uses the 3DS's GPU to render to DS mode framebuffer, so at that point it's just a matter of changing texture settings to nearest pixel and scale factor)

Is anyone working on this? I regret selling my DSi XL because of the horrible filtering on DS games, but the 1:1 mode is so small :(

This is what WoodFileManager is for.
Hopefully a better solution will pop up because it's buggy and abandoned. It does, however, work.

Can you tell me how please?
Use TWLoader.
Check the compatibility list in the first post before running any roms.
Also, when you first run TWLoader, go to it's settings screen, and change bootstrap to unofficial, due to the release/official version not working yet.
TWLoader is a frontend for nds-bootstrap, the SD rom loader.

I see in the compatibility list some games require donor roms to save? Can someone please explain to me what you mean by "Donor rom" and also how to use/apply one? I'm seeing MKDS as a frequent one.

A donor rom is the rom used, where nds-bootstrap gets the arm7 binary from it, and applies it to the game you're running with non-working saves.
To set a donor ROM, open TWLoader, search for the MKDS ROM, press SELECT, then touch "Set as donor ROM".

EDIT: Please note that this post is old. SRLoader now has it's own thread.

Attention DSi users with a DSi exploit installed (such as sudokuhax)!

First there was TWLoader, and now there's...
photoshop_psd (srloader).png

This does what TWLoader does, loading ROMs from the SD card via nds-bootstrap!

Also includes
  • (S)GB(C) ROM loading via GameYob
  • Theme changing
  • Running last played DS ROM on SRLoader startup
Controls
  • A: Start ROM (via nds-bootstrap. Retail ROMs will work.)
  • Y (X in v0.0.2 and lower): Start ROM (no nds-bootstrap. Useful for DSi homebrew.)
  • Start: Settings
DS/3DS theme:
  • Y:Switch between DS and (S)GB(C) ROMs.
DSi Menu theme:
  • Down: Switch between DS and (S)GB(C) ROMs.

If you haven't seen ROM loading from SD card on a DSi, then here's a video.

UPDATE 5/27/2017:
New video!

This does what TWLoader does, loading ROMs from the SD card via nds-bootstrap (v0.2.0)!

  • X: Start ROM (no nds-bootstrap. Useful for DSi homebrew.)

Download v0.0.1

NOTE: I'm not giving SRLoader it's own page 'til more people have access to a DSi exploit.

Good to know that the DSi got its own frontend but I think there should be a guide on the NDS section to install SRL content using hardmod. I know that there are some steps on the TWLTool thread to do it but it got lost on the pages :c

You can't hack a DSi anymore as the eShop is closed for it.
Adding points got shut down at the start of this year.

Besides, the steps to hacking the DSi are in this thread.

i messed up i think..

i have all the exploitable games, BUT would i be able to downgrade to lower firmware and inject a hax and then upgrade?

before i didnt have the time to do it.. but soon i should have time to do it.
