Can we all just stop responding to hacksn5s4? All he wants is not to have to spend $10 and he offers nothing to this thread.

He talks about how easy this shit is but then wants everyone else to do it. We come here cause it genuinely interests us and only get to read him spouting nonsense.
We are not talking about the economic thing, we are talking about progress! It's more fun discussing about this than buy a flashcard and pirate roms. It's even fun for developers creating programs to do this, and a satisfaction. So just stop being a flashcard fanboy, ok?

I would like to note, and this is primarily directed at people like @hacksns5s4 who just keep talking about wanting to bypass a flashcart (don't get me wrong, I want that too. I'm just not whining buggering other people about it.) : If we would ever get it working, you wouldn't be able to install that many games on it. At least not if we do it the DSi mode way. This is because NAND size is limited. Mine is 128mb, and that is on an o3ds, with only one DSi game installed (Flipnote).

Getting a flashcart will as such always be superior in any shape or form, until homebrew is made to emulate the DS.

It's more that everyone's sick of seeing that the thread's got a bunch of activity and it turns out to be nothing else than "ARE WE THERE YET? ARE WE THERE YET? ARE WE THERE YET?". This isn't discussing progress, this is just nonstop nagging, like, we get it, people are interested in this, that's why it's being looked into.
Hearing the same thing over and over and over again is just annoying. We don't even know if it's viable or even possible yet, and who knows when anything's going to be discovered.

Believe it or not, "just buy a flashcart" isn't some sort of ridiculous rabid fanboyism, it's honest advice. It'll be far quicker and more convenient than waiting for whatever comes out of this, if anything. Also, stop putting words in people's mouths. There's no such thing as a "flashcard fanboy".

Ok, probably you are not a flashcard fan boy, but they exist if you remember gateway vs Sky3ds, at the ages when we didn't have a cfw. Anyway, I'm not saying that every post is useful, only that as it's a progress thread we don't speak about the things that are working, but about the things that the devs are working on. The flashcards were already developed so it's not a progress just a fact, a suggestion for the people that can't wait.

You might be discussing it but he certainly isn't. I don't own a flashcart nor do I want to buy one but I like reading this thread. Not reading about one guy that wants everyone else to do something for him.

Flashcards in this thread are a little off-topic, you know...

You do realize I'm the one who tried to bring this thread back on topic? Or did you not read? They guy derails this every other day saying stupid shit and asking for someone to solve his problem he can't wait for. I told him to get a flashcart so we can remain on topic... Actually discussing probable progress.

But yeah, I'm the guy off topic.

I didn't said that you were the one of offtopic...

Let me clarify... I want to try and put things from mkds into the demo and see if it works.
I checked, it doesn't really work like that.
DS demos don't really load from data folders like standard carts, one big thing is loaded into RAM at once. I can't figure out how to edit it.
