@Apache Thunder, I'm guessing you may know the answer to this:
A few years ago, I bought a fake copy of New Super Mario Bros. DS on ebay. It worked perfectly on the DS and DS Lite, but didn't work at all on the DSi for me, or at least it doesn't on the newest firmware anyway.
I tried it with TWL_FIRM v2 patch and the TWL Slot1 loader, and neither worked. It just gives the generic 'An error has occured' error.
From homemenu, the error occurs practically instantly, if that tells you anything.

Any ideas as to what specifically causes this?

Do you have a rom dump of it? I could try and fix it. As for other homebrew. I want to try and get a version of hbmenu that uses NitroFS to access files (so I can store NDS files directly in the hbmenu SRL). But I don't know how to do that. Perhaps someone can edit the source code so that it does? I would like to see how useful hbmenu could be as a result. :P

Is NitroFS able to be used in DSiWare injects?

I dumped it just now, using wood dumper on ds lite. It's absolutely tiny, weirdly!

Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr we can just play games lower than 64MB. Which is pretty much 90% of DS games. And all the ones that are 64MB are trimmable. The only games I know of that is too big that people want to play, is Pokémon generation 5. They're fairly cheap on Nintendo's refurbished site and flashcarts are even cheaper.
Would DPPT/HGSS be playable at least ?

Any ideas why ?
They're 128MB.
Testing 4 of them - Ghost Black Retold, Mario Craft, Nyan Cat, Syobon Action.

Only 2 showed on home menu - Ghost Black Retold and Mario Craft.

Booted Nyan Cat from BigBlueMenu, error.
Booted Syobon Action from BigBlueMenu, error.
Booted Ghost Black Retold from BigBlueMenu, black screen. (How fitting.)
Booted Mario Craft from Home Menu, instant-error.
Booted Mario Craft from BigBlueMenu, worked! (Yay!)
Oddly enough, touch screen functions didn't seem to work. (Darn!)

And if I had a nickel for every time ReiNand failed to load... I'd be a billionaire by now.
