That's what I'm thinking. TWL_FIRM has been patched to not use it. But that patch wouldn't impact CTR mode. So if Home Menu/Process9 of CTR mode checks it before launching DSiWare, then we'll need a patch of NATIVE_FIRM/Home Menu to make it work.

Though I don't think it's the DS Cart White list. The whitelist is only being used by cartridge games. You obviously can't have DS Cart White list work on DSiWare since those can be downloaded from eShop and are still being made and added to the library of existing games. (That would mean having to update the white list each time a new game comes out. This isn't practical. So I don't think DSiWare uses the DS Cart White list. It may be that only certain game code combinations are accepted by Home Menu. But I don't know enough about that to know how to make a working game code without stealing one from an existing game. :P

It is sorta. Here play with this:

TestConversions_DSiWare.rar
(There's two different homebrew in this. Don't try to install them both at the same time. They share the same TID. This was because I can't use a custom game code. Home Menu doesn't want to start DSiWare with custom game codes in the TID. Don't ask me why this is. I don't yet know why this occurs)

They sorta work. WoodDumper tries to read slot-1 but fails. Normmatt says it isn't able to re-init slot-1 because it's on a 3DS. He says you have to eject the card and reinsert for it to read the game. That was how it worked on the DS/DS Lite. These run in NTR mode like DS Download Play does. So technically this would be called DSWare? :P

Though I don't understand why you can't just just boot it with a card inserted and not have to eject it. I suppose this was originally required for the wifi version booted from slot-1 because you had to eject the flashcart it was booted from and insert the game you wanted to dump. But on DS Lite I recall being able to dump the flashcart rom. I just don't recall if I had to eject and insert it first or not. :P

I do know DS Download Play SRLs that I've converted to DSiWare can access Slot-1. Because they freeze if I boot them with a card inserted and eject the cartridge while they are running. :P

Any DS homebrew that only use NitroFS and don't use DLDI? I want to try something else more interesting then slot-1 dumpers. :P
does it work

wood dumper does not work as dsi ware at this stage but even if it does my router does not support wep so thats not gonna work would a program to turn my laptop into a router work

It is cause you have to go to nds connections to setup and it requires wep
dont know how it work, the only thing I know is that the dsi supported wpa in dsiware(there were 3 extra slots for dsi stuff), don't know how it exactly works on the 3ds since O have no dsiware with online support.

Have you recompiled wooddumper with the newest devkit, maybe something got added to the devkit in the meantime, which would allow it to work.

Early ds games were unsigned, Nintendo thought the encryption was enough. Then Nintendo wizened up and started signing the games. But they added the whitelist so the old games don't stop working without signatures. This is what the whitelist is for, and 'updated' white lists change how the the games are checked.

That's already patched out by TWL_FIRM as it's TWL_FIRM that was doing the sig checks. What Home Menu is doing is something else.
