Made a PictoChat launcher (with a cool 3D banner):

PictoChat_Launcher.rar

Source code may need changed if using a non USA version of PictoChat. Not sure if there are other region versions of PictoChat or if their unique ids are different.

How hard would it be to make one of these for other dsi system apps?

It's easy to make it launch anything you want. Modify the source to launch the title id of the app you desire. These launchers were just compiled to launch TWL titles specifically.

Can you please make versions for other regions? My EU n3ds just displays the "an error occured" thing, tested on sysnand (9.2) and emunand (10.5).

TWLNandFiler is region free. As for PictoChat...I don't know the TID for it for other regions so for now...no....Sorry.

Pictochat is done through local wireless, not online.

TWLNandFiler is region free. As for PictoChat...I don't know the TID for it for other regions so for now...no....Sorry.

Can I help you with that? I tried to launch every TWL file in nand with FBI I could find (4 in total) but none of them worked, FBI just says launching and does nothing.

Lell me the unique id that PictoChat has when you view it in FBI. I can tailor the uniqueid half of the TID to match it. But since I can't test it myself it will be up to you to test it.

I would do that if I could find pictochat in fbi at all, I just tried to launch every of the four files that have TWL as the category in fbi, but none of them launches properly. do I have to search for a different file?

Pictochat is a nand title. You have to have destination set to nand when viewing/launching/installing TWL titles. Also TWL titles ares usually shown at the bottom of the list of installed titles.

At the bottom I have 2 titles (dlplay & DS INTERNET) as well as 2 TWL titles with <N/A> labeling. But none of them works when I try to launch it via FBI, tried it in patched sysnand and emunand. (In patched sysnand I used FBI.3dsx, could that be the Problem?)

Sounds like you don't have PictoChat installed. It doesn't come with 3DS. It's something you have to download and install.

Ah okay, that's the Problem! sorry for my failure.
EDIT: Your pictochat.nds runs perfectly on my r4i gold, thanks for that!

It will work as a CIA since PictoChat is a DSi hybrid title that works from NAND. Just get make_cia and use this command:

make_cia --srl=PictoChat.nds

It will output a CIA. That should then install to TWLN (if using FBI, select destination to NAND first. Although I recommend DevMenu for installing TWL titles).

Then use my launcher to launch it. No flashcart required!

I'm curious.. What will happen if I convert a NDS game to CIA, install it on NAND, modify the title ID into Apache Thunder's Launcher source code to match the one from the game, and try to launch it?
