So, how is the development in this awesome work going, do you have hopes of a relase or still in the hardwork process?

So I realized that using @ahezard boot-strap 0.0.1 DSx86 runs in DSi mode (which is great because has more ram and other things), but freezes accessing SD. Using V0.0.3 DSx86 runs well, but don't detected DSi mode.

I think will be great if nds-hb-menu and bootstrap can detect DSi homebrew like DSx86 for additional functions.

EDIT:

I figured out what do DSx86 runs as DSi mode. If the option on bootstrap ini file LOCK_ARM9_SCFG_EXT = 0, the DSx86 detected DSi mode, but it freezes at start. It happens with bootstrap 0.0.3 too

Most homebrews that run in TWL mode don't need any sort of DLDI patching though. Stuff like GameYob will run in DSi mode and access the SD natively.

DSx86 is strange to run in DSi mode without having that support. I guess it was only ever intended to run on the iEvo.

DSx86 has support for DSi with more ram and speed, you can see details on DSx86 website

Say, I have two questions.

What makes most flashcards only run in NTR mode, even with DSi Enhanced games?

I can't find concrete data on this one, what are the features of the DS Auto Trainer? As in, it adds cheats, but what are it's limitations, uses, perks...?

IIRC TWL/DSi mode wasn't completely reversed engineered back then, only the CycloDSi or iEvolution (something like that) made it possible. There wasn't much demand for it, because TWL games worked just as well on NTR mode as if being played on DSlite.

Well I think is possible make nds-hbmenu works with DSi homebrews in DSi mode. I found this video from @shutterbug2000

I think It apparently uses the nds-hbmenu and DLDI patch (I believe the same bootstrap uses) to create a cia of DSx86 and run in DSi mode (you can see DSi mode enabled in DSx86 in the video)

That was before nds-bootstrap was made, and it does not use nds-hbmenu. The .nds file itself was converted to .CIA.

TWL card authentication protocols are way more secure than NTR ones.
Tricking the console into thinking you are an NTR card is easier than making it believe you are a TWL one.

I haven't really heard about that program, but after looking at it there doesn't seem to be much call to use it. Why are you interested?
