Well that's what I've heard. Think companies are goin focussing fully on 3ds from now on. Fifa 12 for example wasnt made for regular DS, just 3ds

The shop "Gamestop" in Ireland recently received emails from Nintendo stating that production was being halted on all the handheld consoles except for the 3DS. So it wouldn't surprise me that they could stop the DS games too.

I would say 1 more year. Perhaps 2. I am sure the 3DS will be taking over soon, but lets not forget that there is the DS Phat, DS Lite, DSi, DSi-XL that can't play 3DS games - so most will have a non-3DS game playing console. Therefore it would be more profitable to invest in original DS games more than 3DS games.

Pokemon,Devil Survivor 2 and tons of shovelware.
Production isn't over yet,look at the ps2 even now some companies are still making games for it.

You'll probably start seeing more DSi-hybrid games. So it will still play in a regular DS, but have the extra features on a DSi. Pure DS-only game production may stop, but you wouldn't really notice if DSi-hybrid game production continues, since they can still be played on any of the systems.
