I've heard regular DS games will stop being made by the end of December. Is this true?
Um... What? With the announcement of titles to be released next year, you really think they're going to stop production?
there will be MANY more DS games in 2012
Well that's what I've heard. Think companies are goin focussing fully on 3ds from now on. Fifa 12 for example wasnt made for regular DS, just 3ds
I heard that if you untangle your belly button your arse falls off. As far as I am aware there have been no official statements that support this rumour. Don't believe everything you hear.
unfortunately nearly all of them will be shovelware
Fair enough. Was just checking. That's good to hear anyway
I can confirm that sadly, this is true.
Ah now, whyd you have to go and ruin it!
Rockstar clicked my sig!
How completely unsurprising!
Most of them. but there are some good titles coming up.
do you know of any apart from devil survivor 2 and pokemon + nobunaga's ambition?
Oh well thanks, Depravo. Not funny. Now I've gotta go to the doctors to see if they can stitch my ass back onto me.
It might live for another year or so.
Inazuma Eleven 2? Well for EU at least... I'm not even interested in that series, so meh xD
Hey wasim... like the new avatar here!
The shop "Gamestop" in Ireland recently received emails from Nintendo stating that production was being halted on all the handheld consoles except for the 3DS. So it wouldn't surprise me that they could stop the DS games too.
I would say 1 more year. Perhaps 2. I am sure the 3DS will be taking over soon, but lets not forget that there is the DS Phat, DS Lite, DSi, DSi-XL that can't play 3DS games - so most will have a non-3DS game playing console. Therefore it would be more profitable to invest in original DS games more than 3DS games.
Pokemon,Devil Survivor 2 and tons of shovelware.
Production isn't over yet, look at the ps2 even now some companies are still making games for it.
You'll probably start seeing more DSi-hybrid games. So it will still play in a regular DS, but have the extra features on a DSi. Pure DS-only game production may stop, but you wouldn't really notice if DSi-hybrid game production continues, since they can still be played on any of the systems.
