Hacking DS breaking?

I just got my DS lite not even a month ago. Under the touch screen if I apply enough pressure it makes a screeching noise. When I look at it from the side where the volume and earphone is visible, it appears the piece of plastic shell are separating. Is this me being paranoid or is my DS already breaking? Should I exchange it while my policy is still good? I have three days left for that policy.

Well if you can live a few days without your DS go and exchange it for a new one NOW! If it gets worse you may have to replace your whole case and let me tell you: you don't want to do that ^^.

Yes, it should be under warrenty.
