I just tested it out and it runs fine on mine with 1.18. Though I don't see why it should matter (I tested it and it worked fine) you don't need to trim the game at all. Try it without trimming it and see if it happens to make a difference. Other than that I can't think of why it wouldn't be working for you when it does for me with the same codes, settings, etc.

Are you using an (U) or (E) version? I recently been trying to patch the new game(new download) with my codes and test them on no$gba and it mostly causes the game to crash or have a distorted picture..... i'm all out of idea's here that doesn't end up down the road of buying a new cart....

(U). If it is crashing in no$ then that means it is the game and not the cart. Post the cheats in text format that you are using and I will try it again.

I copied and pasted the cheats without changing anything and it worked fine as it should. You are using v4.0 right?

Yep 4.0...... sighs this doesn't make any damn sense.....

~Edit~
I'm not sure if this matters any but i'm on an older computer running win98SE,I had enough for now i'm going to bed.....and thanks for the help cracker even tho we can't figure out why it won't work for me......

Use the unpatched/untrimmed game with the codes you sent and after patching is should have a CRC32 of 5ABCFE48.

QUOTE(Neo Draven @ Sep 20 2008, 12:00 PM) what does this do?

It takes ARDS codes and converts them into a cheat function that is injected into the game. It also allows you to use slomo on any game. It is primarily for users of carts that lack such features but they will work on most any cart.

I've tried the untrimmed game and the program trims it and still white screens on start up,even tried trimming the new game with my normal trimmer and add the codes and still didn't work,so I don't know whats the problem,is there any other programs that patch codes like yours does? (worth a shot).....

Did you get the CRC32 from the patched game to match it with the one that I got? It will help me figure out what is going on (if it is something I can fix). Also another thing to try would be to turn the training function off and just use enable/disable. If it doesn't work then then it would rule out the cheat code conversion as being the culprit.

No there is no other program like DSATM.

Edit: I think I may know what is going on now that I thought about it... DSATM loads the whole game into memory at once and then manipulates the data and writes it back out. Since you mentioned that you use 98SE still it got me thinking that you would probably have a lot less physical RAM than users of XP+. Windows _should_ be able to allocate enough RAM through virtual RAM but 98 seemed to run into problems with that. Even with the safeguards in place it might be the possible reason why it's not working as it should. The final result should be 85,551K. Is it?

The file size comes out to 83.5MB (87,601,760 bytes) 87,605,248 bytes used,CRC seems to be 189d970e.....

~Edit~
The CRC keeps changing on me when I check it,guessing it's a bad program i'm using or something....(HashCalc)

hey with sonic chronicles:
Code:
Quick Exp Gain
221d0fb8 000000ff
the game crashes after i save a file and i'm assuming it's the code causing this problem

P.S. once the problem is solved, can u convert the address from 8-bit to 16-bit (if u know wat i mean.)

Cough, arm7 fix.

It's actually nothing to do with using the cheats. There is a bug that occurs on some carts (not sure how many). Topics on this are here and here. I'm sure there are more.

To convert from an 8bit write to 16bit just change the first 2 to a 1.

let me be a bit more specific about the save problem

when i save a file, it saves normally and it says 'save completed!' and then the chapter screen was supposed to show up but instead, wite screens. also, attempting to replace the arm7.bin made it worse.

Ps. i forgot to mention but why doesn't slo-mo work?
pps. is it possible to convert this code to 32-bit (sry if im annoying u)

EDIT: never mind, somehow i got it working again

Should I check or un-check trainer, slow motion, and enable/disable when I am entering a Pokemon Diamond action replay code? What are they for?

Some games require different arm7.bin donors. Like Sim City (J)'s arm7.bin used to work on every game but then something changed and more and more games wouldn't be fixed with it and (as is your case) made it worse. loathsome has a 'hacked arm7.bin' that apparently works with every game but his site is down.

Trainer needs to be checked for cheat codes to be applied. Slow motion only needs to be checked if you want it. Enable/disable is if you want to use a key combo to toggle the cheats on/off in game.
