A series of mysterious disappearances of high profile personalities from the worlds of science, industry and entertainment reveal a horrific global terrorist threat. With the clock running and the lives of the hostages and millions of others in danger, the international community’s last hope lies with an extremely covert and highly specialized military team: Unit 77. Made up four professionals who are the best in the world at what they do, Unit 77 must combine skills to stop massive world destruction by the hands of terrorists.

Elite Forces: Unit 77 for Nintendo DS is a game of action and strategy in which the player must wisely use the abilities of all four members of Unit 77. The countdown has begun, and it's time for the few and the brave. Will you become a terrorist's victim or do you have what it takes to be on the team of Elite Forces?

Hella cool. I know I shouldn't get my hopes up, but this game kinda looks like what I'd imagine a Contra game to be like if it were a TBS game. Let's hope for the best, I suppose.

Just did a couple of missions, fount it to be pretty damn good, nothing amazing mind but its different to what we usually get and its certainly well made. Looks good, control is good and touchscreen stuff seems pretty responsive.

Sound is so so though but nothing awful.

We've got a sleeper hit on our hands & its only £17 over here so I might even buy it justto support the devs.

Reminds me of that Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines game from several years back.
I personally did not get along with it but several friends did, I will have to see about this for them.

On the other hand dare I say cannon fodder?

Its real time not turn based.

Yeah, definitely something quite other than what I was expecting...better. It's kinda Cannon Fodder, but with a real sense of strategy. I've only just completed the first mission, but this is really quite a nice surprise for me. All of the mechanics seem to work well, and the tactics are already evident right from the start. Very cool.
