Woot, take a look on mission 3, at the intro.
"It's a big number"
"How big?"
"over 9000"
"WHAT!? OVER 9000!?"

Great gameplay and hilarious dialogue! Lock's Quest really didn't get me hooked, but this one certainly did!

Being left handed I really feel impaired though, any way to remap the button configuration, i.e. through a spiffy lil' hack? A point in the right (uh, I mean left) direction would be much appreciated!

...Also, has anyone tried multiplayer yet? Prolly checkin that tonizzy as well (Wife® loves TD games as well w00t!), so i'll post if anyone else cares. Hell, even if no one else cares, i'll letcha know tomorrow about the multiplayer....
1.) The Get Off My Lawn thing ain't great. Some of the other blowing techniques work fine, but that one not so much.

I think it's a great ability! Especially useful when going for A rank or you're on your last heart point and don't want enemies escaping for good. I also find that blowing them towards ninjas (that are close to those huts where you earn extra cookies) can increase your chances of earning rewards financially.

Does anyone know whether you gain anything by getting an A rank in all levels? The only one I'm missing currently is from the last stage.

I am enjoying the hell out of this game. Its Super Tower Defense Fun! Wait. That makes it STD fun. Which it is. If STDs were fun. Which they're not.

But yea, this game is entertaining as hell. On the 3rd "chapter" (section of town. Town Square i believe) and its a kick.

Only thing... make sure to read the story lines. If you don't, the 4th level of the second area (lvl 8 mebbe?) can NOT be completed by standard play... i thought it could. Died 4 times on the 19th wave of enemies. I was livid. Then i read the text at the start, and had it completed by the 12th wave >_>

So yea. Cannot wait to get home to play this a bit mo'. Also, has anyone tried multiplayer yet? Prolly checkin that tonizzy as well (Wife® loves TD games as well w00t!), so i'll post if anyone else cares. Hell, even if no one else cares, i'll letcha know tomorrow about the multiplayer.

Oh, and

@Pimpmynintendo: Yea, i'm having sleep problems as well. Exact same as yours. Close the screen, it "sleeps" but turns right back on. Thought it was my old-assed DS's switch just dying. Glad its not just me

I'm having the sleep problem too. The same kind of thing happens with Crono Trigger, but then it constantly turns off and on.

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
