Thanks for the screenshots too
This game reminds me of this one game my bro used to play on the psx it had 4 discs and it was japanese >_>;; yeah I don't remember much about it, but it was all dark and bloody. Same sort of interface ( shows how lame ds graphics are) and it was about students too.

I watched about 10 episodes of this anime a year and a half or so ago, I believe. Kind of liked the show... I like tactics games (that first screen makes it look like one, anyway). Probably never seen an English release. Ah well.

WTF is up with the guy in the last screen - he is totally going to rape that cat.

I dunno about raping the cat..

but isn't that the same cat that gives you a power-up in Legend of the Mystical Ninja? (something something Goemon in japan)

I'm learning Japanese,but Kanji =O

Because japanese people made the game? And they could care less about people who cant understand their language. So its a good thing you're learning.

As for the story, the Anime News Network site says this:

Plot Summary: In the night of Tokyo, mysterious deaths involving the 'Reborn Dead' occur. Mysterious transfer student, Tatsuma Hiyuu, and delinquent student, Kyouichi Houraiji, fight these undead every night. They, along with the rest of their group, soon realize that a greater threat, that involves even more powerful demons, is near.

Looks interesting. Has the anime been officially released in English? That'll tell us the chance of the game getting brought over... we actually got the strategy-RPG based on Yu Yu Hakusho, say. Although it was a bit of a surprise.

Well the best version of "legend of the mystical ninja" must be the snes version i assume? Or maybe the port to GBA?
But my over all favourite ganbare goemon game must be the nintendo 64 version. I don't know why, it's all dorky and fucked up, but it's still so lovely.
The DS game is much fun too, but it's quite hard to understand what to do since it's just in japanese.

This game looks cool, but it's japanese, and will probably not ever have an english translation... that = pass for me...

Is there a Japanese wiki for this game? I need to find a way to get some characters into my party in the first half of the game. I managed to recruit one but this girl is tougher to get than he was. I just need some help with it since there's no english FAQ for it anywhere.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
