The game doesn't work for me. I am using the R4, am I the only one to experience this?

My R4 1.18 work fine

i like this - not saying it's game of the century.

pool is an advance version of the mobile phone version - which i loved.

I quite like the Pool and the Bowling. Hav't tryed Solitaire or Poker since I don't know how to play.

The Block Breakout MAKES this collection a go-get buy for me.

Pretty much Arkanoid on steroids.

By the way, I am running it on a Dstt with firmware version 1.10

Is it me or is there nothing to trim in this game?

Was able to trim almost 2Mb off with EZtrim.

Another damn good breakout game, haven't played it enough to compare to the other ds breakout greats (Brick Em All, Nervous Brickdown)

It does not work for me on R4. You see the opening then it says cannot read card turn off ds and try again or something like that. Trimed it with the r4 trimmer, could that be the problem?

The official R4DS trimmer kinda sucks.

Also, make sure you are running the latest firmware (1.18) http://www.r4ds.com/download-en.htm
Be sure to erase the _DS_MENU.SYS when you upgrade firmwares or weird things can happen.

Possibly, the place you got it from has a corrupt ROM, try somewhere else.

This game runs fine on my R4.

 

[Philosophy]

Block Breakout is the best game on it so far. It's kinda like a collection of the games that you play at the bar on that little desktop cabinet that they have. Not bad though.

I haven't tried anything else but Blockbreaker Deluxe. Holy hell, it's as cool as I had hoped based on what my cell phone showed. I've never seen a rain of powerups before like what I ended up with in one of the stages. Its set up pretty well too, where your score determines if you can get to certain areas, and also is currency to buy upgrades (most of which are not permanent though those cost several million) on the upgrades you can collect during the game. Boss battles (of the one I've tried so far) are pretty interesting. I fought a floating ice cube that kept making lines of weak blocks and bad powerups too. Pretty neat thus far. ;P

POOL - 3/5 - I like the pool! The camera is crap on the pool game tho... but it's good... betting system and unlockable are nice additions...

BREAKOUT - 4/5 - Breakout is great, nice puzzles in it... I REALLY dont understand WTH is the deal of collecting clothes if the chick on the upper screen doesnt lose them... collecting Cap, sunglasses, bikini.... WTF?? Still a great breakout

BOWLING - 3/5 - Bowling is ok I guess... but there is an "auto target" when aiming the ball that I really hate, makes the game way too easy... and controling the spin After you've thrown the ball is really cheating... I get almost alway strikes now that I've understood the mechanics... but there is a decent lot of unlockables which is cool

SOLITAIRE - 2/5 - I love the solitaire game but this one... for those who plays solitaire, we all know that 80% if not more, we never win... so imagine if you HAD to bet money on every solitaire game you play.... it's just Dumb! I would LOVE to be the Croupier of a casino Solitaire... y'know... I bet nothing but when you lose I get your money... yeah thats how I'd like to play.

POKER - 3/5 - I like poker... though I dont like the "Texas hold 'em" rules, I think it's a decent poker game, the chicks has big titties which is a plus... but the 4 different audio sounds is annoying (1 win, 1 lose x 1 male, 1 female). Graphics are ok... I also like the fact that you can Skip when other players play... convenient :-)

Have anybody else noticed how the Loading times are LONG for a DS game? I mean they are so long and so often for such little games... really annoying...

Still I really like the game, it'll stay on my DS for a good time killer.

Got it working, was a bad download.

I have the same problems with 2511: WALL-E (Europe) and 2513: Tsumiki: The Infernal Tower (Europe). I thought my DS was broken, but seems like more people are having problems. It has been a while since I updated my M3 Simply, so I'll try that first. I did not trim anything, so that can't be it.
Will come back after my update if it still does not work.

Edit: Problem solved with update. Now running 1.14. Might be helpful for those who are having problems too.
