I found this fix for the game on a site. It works on acekard2i whene you did this.

this game has AP (anti-piracy) if get a hex editor open up the rom and go to those addresses and replace the values

Up to now I finished 5 episodes without problems on Acekard2i (using the fix posted in this topic).

I don't understand the damn thing. I can't find the codes... Someone really just needs to make an IPS patch... that's something me (as well as most people) can work with.

Are you sure you did it correctly? The last row they list is NOT right below the other rows, it's further along in the file, and you edit some values in the middle.


Anyways, an IPS patch cannot be made, since the IPS format uses 24-bit addressing, it cannot accurately be used with files larger than 16 megabytes (2 to the 24th power, 16,777,216 bytes), so in order to patch roms for later systems, other formats have been developed.

I've created a patch with the modifications indicated in the first post, hopefully this one will work past the first few episodes, but I'm honestly too lazy to try it out.
