Hacking Download enabler plugin no longer working?

I keep getting cannot connect to server error (NW-8942-3), I've tried downloading from brewology and vitadb with no luck. It used to work no problem, now it won't work on both of my 3.65 and 3.68 vitas. I've been using my phone and ftp as a solution for now but wanted to see if anyone else was facing this issue, or if it's just me.

It also stopped working for me, ever since I disabled the buggy IOStaging plugin. But nowhere can I find that Download Enabler ever required it. So I can't download forum attachments here unless they're a supported format. "Cannot download using this system. "
