Hacking Downgrade from 10.5/10.6 is now possible on O3DS. (Not Hardware Mod)

Tried it out for kicks on a spare 2DS.

Updated system from 9.2 to 10.6 via System Update.
Verified 10.6.0-31U.
Boot NinjiHax with new 10.6 payload.
Ran this beta updater, chose downgrade, downgraded successfully to 9.2

Only note is since it's using the GPU for the hax, the screen draw is slow as molasses. So takes a good while to complete the downgrade.

I'd advise getting OOT3D, because the total cost comes out to be like 40 dollars, plus you get a good game and a powersaves.

Cubic ninja is like 70 dollars and the game is trash.

You meant the price of CN or the a new free entry for HBL?

If you meant the latter, we don't know when is it available/released. Only Yellows8 knows, Smelaum and other developer who actively work on that.

If you mean price of CN, then CN is only getting more expensive (slowly or faster depended on free entry point release) since there are more 3DS console and CN is not gonna be reprinted. OOT is being reprinted and goes for $19.99 or cheaper before tax at Best Buy in few days in North America.

Not sure if you can price adjust later, there are OOT copies available to for $39.99 before tax now.

For those who ask for tuts, the the main steps are:

Run HBL -> run the new sysupdater in this thread

What need to be careful is

1. Get the correct firmware package
2.a Remove Tubehax DNS before downgrading
2.b Delete predownloaded update in case your O3DS/2DS is <10.6

I tested this on one of my spare o3ds, successfully downgraded from 10.6U via oot3dshax to 9.2U. First time my 3ds crashed during the downgrade, was able to get browserhax -> menuhax, and downgrading worked second time I ran it.

Successfully downgraded o3DS from 10.6.0-31U to 9.2.0-20U with no issues.

Used CN as entrypoint, verified 9.2 files using SafeSysUpdater, then downgraded using SysUpdater from this thread.

None, though there are some known softbricks. I haven't seen any reports on whether the n3ds downgrade works though, so we'll see how that goes.
