I have read about problems where you will see patches and dots on your screen, it is said that it's caused by different rate of heating in different parts of the LCD, and will occur more often when you have a screen protector.

The dot can be seen when its placed near a hot place(notebook ventilation area), but disappears when the NDS is moved away.

Is the reason for the appearance of the dot true? What is the name of such a problem?

I had it happening on my mobile phone once and yes the dot disappeared after a while, but it doesn't occur that often. In my case only once.

The thin cover that goes over the LCD screen(not the protector; the clear part you covered) gets pushed down and contacts the screen. I have never experienced this without a screen protector. If you can apply even pressure to the screen protector when applying it (don't push from middle out) it won't happen. I suggest using a credit card.

The DS comes with a thick screen protector on the top screen, so its harder to break the LCD.
