the homebrew menu requires that the 3dsx file and directory have the same name. you will also need the prboom.wad file as well

That's why I asked if he named it doom.3dsx, since his folder was called doom. But yeah, I probably should've mentioned that.

Someone knows why the A button works in the menu, but not in-game? and why it works when I touch the "Rtrn" key from the virtual Keyboard?

I'm on O3DS 10.3.0-28EU with IronHax *hax2.5

I would set the A button for the command "Turn right".

Thanks for Help!

It's OK! I found it alone. In game the "A" button is "CTRL" and the "B" button is "Spacebar". Just touch these keys on virtual keyboard during the keys setting.

Can we get a CIA build that works with the new3ds nipple? Only the 3dsx builds work with new3ds builds, been this way for a few builds.

posted a new version to git (see first post for link). this includes updated sound with a switch from ctrulib to ndsp. it also replaces the software sound mixing with hardware mixing. can someone test this out and let me know how it goes?

N3DS 10.3 here, testing the 3dsx build. With the newest version, I'm getting freezes right after I make any kind of input (ex. pressing the directional pad). Prboom becomes active after five minutes (estimated) but then immediately freezes again. Can't use the L+R+Down+B shortcut to exit; I have to hard reset instead.

that is odd. did the previous verson work for you? also which doom are you playing - 1, 2, tnt, shareware, etc?
works fine on my 10.3 old 3ds xl and my 9.9 new 3ds xl. what are you using for a launcher? I am just using boot.3dsx from the latest starter pack.

I'm using the gridlauncher. The older versions loaded up and played just fine for me through the gridlauncher, though. So far, I've only tried the full version of Ultimate Doom on the newest version of prboom.

hmm.. unable to reproduce this issue. typically an issue with L+R+Down+B is an issue with the hax install and not the title (outside of GPU hangs which is not used at all here).

After doing a clean install and switching to the default boot.3dsx , I'm still getting the freezes. :( I have no idea what else it could be, but I'm hoping there's a chance someone else is also experiencing the same issues?

you could try downloading the shareware version and see if that works

Apologizing in advance incase someone already asked.

Is there any potential set of stupid loopholes and extra work that could be put in by a dedicated random person somewhere out there to get this working with doom 2 files and then-just-maybe-possibly MM8BDM? most obscure thing possible to ask for but still
