As of what happened right now with Luma github being attacked by a hacker, I refuse to update the CFW on both my 2DS and N3DSXL. Gonna stay with the current version until this issue has been resolved.

You got the homebrew channel? Is that the only thing you've done? If so, you should be in the clear

If you have not done anything in terms of downgrading or decrypt 9, you should be good.

I followed https://3ds.guide/, including a Luma installation (which I also updated from the Luma update app). Was completely unaware of any compromised accounts.

Everything is fully functional, so can I rest my worries? Or is there a possibility of spyware / sleeper brick?

Incidentally, this CFW doesn't seem to be malware from the code, it's more just...another CFW? Either way, I have no clue what the heck is happening. Need to emerge hexchat and hop on #cakey.

I think you're fine. If they did implement a brick, it probably would have already happened. I think I heard that Plailect changed the links to mirrors. I'm pretty certain you're fine

Nah, all that happened was some people had their passwords brute forced, and Aurora likely used the same password for gbatemp and github. Wouldn't be a terrible idea to change it anyway.

I would suggest people start using a password manager of some kind and a password generator.

It may make life a bit harder but it also reduces the chances of a hack like this becoming a larger problem.
