FAILED!

gba-gba sp-gb micro

there were 3 versions of gba, I wouldn't rule out a 3rd ds. If anything though it'll be some minor redesign.

Hey! I have that SNES hooked up to my TV in our living room!

With Chrono Trigger.. Yep, the original cart.

why redesign something thats finally perfect and looks good. i rather wait until black friday and get the ds lite from circuit city for 139.99. comes with either nintendog or the new zelda game FREE. i pick the gold ds because it looks cool with the triforce logo on there.

But they can't cut the GBA slot; that would remove the accessory interface too.

That why i think they will start new product instead.
and according to nintendo traditional, the new product should be able to play DS game...

wonder how is it going to be.....

but i don't think they will make it soon.

Are u on drugs man? the DS "LITE" is the final release. Just like the psp slim is the final psp.
don't say that..
the GBA actually had TWO redesigns, so I don't see why there couldn't be something like a DS Micro, too...
the GBA Micro was actually announced half a year after the NDS release..

[smartass] I just bought a brand new GBA-SP2 (backlight) a few weeks ago. Think I'm safe? Will it be redesigned too? [/smartass]

LOL, you wasted your money on that soon-obsolete piece of plastic, you know the new GBA SP 3 redesign will feature a holographic projector screen, metal casing, standard headphone jack, and a built-in Mother 3 translator.

No no no, you have it all wrong. Nintendo had problems during development of the SP3, so they're delaying it till 2019.

The problem was specifically: "Existing".

Do you have a link for that? Sounds like a great deal! I would buy one for sure if it was 139.99 for the zelda ds w/game.

Some interesting news on this subject.

"Our contacts indicate that a refreshed DS is complete," Wilson said today in his holiday preview investor's note. "It is thinner (it has no GBA port), has on-board storage and larger screens. However, we do not expect a revamped Wii or DS until sales begin to tail off in all three major geographies." As of press time, a Nintendo of America representative had not responded to GameSpot's request for comment."

I was actually going to post that, looks like I was beaten a little.

That seems slightly...odd. I wonder what "on-board storage" could refer to. The lack of GBA slot is something I'm concerned with, as some games use DS to GBA connectivity when both games are in the system, though only a few of the thousands between both systems.

I want to see what it looks like.

On board storage could be two things:

1) At least part of it is definitely going to be extra RAM, so that the new DS works with the Opera browser, which normally requires the DS memory pak.

2) It may also have some flash storage, for the rumored Virtual Console service for the DS.
