Hacking don't buy a ds lite now

Too fragile, man mine gets all sorts of abuse and keeps on going. Only if you bend the top screen back does it get too fragile, and I've done that a couple of times.

Wont be any new models before Christmas anyway, and thats when most people will be looking for one!

Newsflash for everyone: There isn't gonna be another DS redesign. Probably not even next year. Nintendo hasn't even hinted it, or given any kind of info for it yet.

First off, due to the nature of the Wii remote's IR camera, the sensor bar must be placed near the center of the monitor. If the sensor bar was built right into the Wii, you would have to position the console exactly at the center of the television.

Unless your 'uncle' worked for both ARM and Nintendo, I don't see how he "created and designed" the DS processors AND worked on a Wiimote library. Separate companies did these things, Nintendo does not make all the components inside their systems.

Nintendo would only do this if sales were lagging and they needed to refuel interest in the DS. They aren't lagging so they won't mess with anything. In fact, I'll be surprised if we ever see another redesign of the DS. I think the next handheld Nintendo does will be a completely new one, and will not come out for 3 to 10 years.

Other then the whole cracked hinge issue, i don't see how the DS can be branded as fragile that easily. I've abused mine through and through and it was fine up till a few days ago

Said hinge cracked and screen nearly ripped off, but heh, whatever, i carry the thing in my pockets every day, i use it every day for several hours too, so nothing too odd here.

All that to say, my DS has seen lots and lots of different kinds of abuse, be it by the amount of time i used it, the way i treated/carried it, the fact i've dropped it more often then i dropped my pants for my girlfriend (In before noob lolz wavez, it's a comparison, so please stuff it, i could've used "more often then my friend's sister ex-boyfriends turned gay.). My DS has seen its share of hard treatments and after having it for nearly a year, it broke down, and not even because of my use (Since it's now being repaired due to a cracked hinge, which the smarter of you will remember being a defect in a batch of DS Lites.)

The DS is in no way "weak" or "fragile".
