i read that nintendo are making a Donkey kong 3D platformer for the wii ( a bit like DK64) and that they're trying to get rare to help them. hope this is true!!

Rare does not work for Nintendo anymore. Sure they can develop for the DS because Microsoft does not have a console in the handheld race. They would never let them develop a game that for the wii as it is in competition with 360.
I dont understand why epople think that Rare is such a great company after all these years. A lot of the developers jumped ship after the deal and they have done nothing recently to recieve the praise they get. I am not discrediting their older games like Golden Eye but nothing new has even come close to it, apart from the ports of Banjo Kazzoie and Banjo Tooie.

Yeah, Rare was awesome back with the 64: Perfect Dark, Banjo & Kazooie, Goldeneye, Donkey Kong 64, 4 of the best N64 games were created by Rare, but since microsoft owns rare, rare's totally fucked up: Perfect dark on 360 isn't as fun as on 64, Banjo got fucked up and they can't release a Donkey kong game since nintendo owns the DK rights...

True and that's a shame!

I'm still waiting for those games to be available on VC!
That probably won't happen since microsoft owns Rare now, and i doubt they'll give nintendo the right to sell their games on the VC...

If Donkey Kong was released - how many Wii games (minus emulators) would have Mario in it now?
Let see, there is:
Mario Kart
Mario Strikers Charged
Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Paper Mario
Mario Party 8
Mario Super Sluggers
Mario Power Tennis
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games

This poor dude is tired....give hima break
