The highest one I have heard of is the Smash Bros console on 8.1.The one I purchased new a few days ago came with version 2I think the latest (as long as it has not been opened and updated) sealed is 9.0

Sky3DS is like a PS4...CFW is a PCSky3DS compared to CFW.
Sky3DS is like buying a DVD player that can only play copies of retail DVDs. And you have to buy a TV separately as well.
Buying an exploitable 3DS is like buying a computer that can play any type of video file, not just retail DVDs. And you don't have to buy anything extra.
So - same as everyone else has said, really. Sky is still good if you want to do region swaps or similar (since you need several copies of Cubic Ninja and Sky can emulate them). But for just generally playing games, it is not really well-suited. Well maybe if you're giving it to a young child who might not understand about not updating.
and can store 50% or so more rom "backups" on CFW in comparison to Sky3DS due to not using the full cartridge rom sizeSky3DS is like a PS4...CFW is a PC

You can trim ROMs though.and can store 50% or so more rom "backups" on CFW in comparison to Sky3DS due to not using the full cartridge rom size![]()

No they're the second gen model that has no game limit.Looks like it was a blue button anyway (aren't those fake?)
oh okay I was told they were fakeNo they're the second gen model that has no game limit.
Sky3DS does not trim the rom. It allocates the full cartridge size for the rom on microSD regardless of the size of the actual game.I thought sky3ds trimmed the rom, anyways I know cia is as compressed as it gets

I'm rocking 4TB so space is not an issue, but yeah.Sky3DS does not trim the rom. It allocates the full cartridge size for the rom on microSD regardless of the size of the actual game.
The optimize feature on the sky3ds is merely a "defragmenter" if there are any empty gaps inbetween each rom (due to deleting some roms and writing larger ones somewhere else), it will save a backup of the files on SD and rewrite them in order again...
The CIA files are the actual size of the game (Further advantage for archiving purposes is that you can create unencrypted CIA's from encrypted 3DS dumps and then back them up on your harddrive using zip or other archivers to save another 20-30% of space that it takes up on your harddrive)
There are some blue button models that are known to be fake, but hopefully not too common.oh okay I was told they were fake

3DS and a free game to use the private header from? Here in the UK, the Old Model 3DS systems (new and sealed) are selling for £80 which includes a free game and £5 argos voucher with the firmware guaranteed 100% to be exploitable. This defeats the whole objective of spending £70 on a sky3ds card that is very limited in comparison to custom firmware with CIA game installations. Now if the sky3ds was £30 or so, then perhaps may have been viable
Only two free games to choose from however.. Dead or Alive Dimensions or Professor Layton3DS and a free game to use the private header from?
Sounds good to me.
