Hacking Does the nintendo switch version 6.0.1 create issues with SX OS CFW?

Strange. Did you have themes on your switch because sometimes they can cause errors on boot up? it could of been anything. At least now your free, think of it like that it's not all bad.

no themes at all mate, didn't even mess with that nes app thing that was going around

i did have devmenu nsp installed, perhaps that was the culprit, or perhaps it's just my turn... either way i'm fine with it

as long as I can update the firmware manually I am happy

I can’t understand that. Did you buy the new Nintendo online service as well? You haven’t answered as well was you using sx or another type of cfw?

i think i was probably part of a ban wave from reading other threads and this update was just coincidence, first time in a while turning off sx os and booting into OFW and updating, straight after the bitches banned me

Well I genuinely hope yours will be fine and you'll manage to evade for as long as possible, although they're definitely getting smarter..... I honestly haven't used mine in ages

Thanks I hope so too, it’s been quite a while now back in mid June I started using injected card 1 & 2 xci titles online I still do now, I still install nsp and homebrew nsp but I still think it will eventually happen. I’m preying on something better coming along with security I might just be able to hang on then.

i was on 4.0.1 and updated 6.0.1( i know my bad) lost the Sx os pro games still shows, but lost acess to any homebrew,.Wondering if I reformat the sd card to get it back will work?

Everytime you update your OFW you have to reformat your SD Card for your console to recognize it once again...

Prior before you used any CFW on your console. Did you create a NAND Backup and restored it prior to you updating to OFW v6.0.1?

Yup! I had updated my OFW on my console twice and both times I had to Re-format my SD Card thru the console because it wasn't being recognized...

It's true to me. It happened twice when I updated the OFW to newer versions.

Now I'm currently on v6.0

Here is something very interesting that I never noticed before on other OFWs.
Even though I know I'm still on OFW v6.0. I noticed that on the "System Update" section it says "System Update is ready" I don't want to click on it because I know that my console will then update to v6.0.1...

The weird thing about it is that I have Auto-Update Software, Share Error Information, Notifications, NFC all set to Off and somehow the System Update is showing Update Ready...

Yes! My console was connected online with OFW and not CFW SXOS to be exact...

I wonder if I should just restore my NAND Backup so I could get rid of the "System Update is ready" message and not connect online. Or just leave it the way it is and not Click on the System Update Icon?

But by doing this are going to lose the nsp on emunand too and their save data?

I knew what my options were for updating to 6.0.1 offline but decided to update to 6.0.1 using OFW yesterday. Don't care if I get banned, as i planned to buy another switch eventually. I'm not using AutoRCM and simply boot using the SX dongle/jig each time when restarting. Did not get banned yet (know its probably coming) and also did controller update. on SX OS 1.9 still. Immediately switched back to airplane/wifi off. Have no problems on SX OS 1.9 but will probably go to 2.0.1 soon

you really shouldn't have to reformat your SD card, i never had to, maybe you was using fat32 card as newer firmware has exfat support or something along them lines

Good Afternoon.

Updates Status (Today)
I have sucesfully updated original firmware from 6.0.0 to 6.0.1 (No problems with SX PRO) Version 2.0
I am able to use homebrew with no problems.
Remember that updating your original firmware disables AutoRCM(Recovery mode)
You will need to use the Jig and hold the vol+button and power button, then inject payload. That should cover most of it.
