I've been wanting to buy an Acekard, but there's one thing holding me back. Does it support OSX? The other flashcart I have (the sucky sucky dsx) promised mac support and although I can use it, because it's Drag n' Drop, you can't update on a mac.

So my question is, can I use the Acekard 2 with my mac and update with it?

the only problem I've found when using my AK2 with my mac is that os X adds all the ._ files when you copy items over to the card (they're hidden when viewing in finder). because these have the file extention .nds along with the roms, they show up in the rom list, but aren't actually roms. I close the finder windows that are browsing my card, open a terminal and do a 'rm ._*' without the quotes in my roms directory on the card before ejecting it. its a hassle to do every time you add anything, and just found that there's another way to do it, with 'dot_clean -m' though I've never used it

You can purchase a utility called BlueHarvest which will automatically remove Mac specific resource forks from removable drives. It also gets rid of the Trash Can and Spotlight.

Download Parallels and install Windows XP (or Vista if you prefer)...
That should fix it.

What would be the point of that? To use a flashcard? Pointless.

Just use Blueharvest if you're on the Mac, as already mentioned; that'll keep invisible files away. Hell, it should have already been an option built into the OS anyways.

Easiest solution: get BlueHarvest and use it, it won't only help for your flashcarts, it'll help for any other drive.

So you have three choices.

1. BlueHarvest (easiest solution)
2. Parallels ---> Windows XP/Vista (recommended, should already have this installed but your choice, also depends on quality of computer, if it can handle it smoothly, recommended)
3. Boot Camp (an alternative to #2 but only necessary if you have a shitty Mac or if you just don't like #2)

Aren't options 2 & 3 rather expensive just to access a flash card? Windows XP/Vista as well as parallels are a lot more expensive than buying Blue Harvest. And as mentioned earlier, for removable drives on the Mac, Blue Harvest is practically an essential.

Okay look ... we do piracy okay ... I hope you understand the hidden message.

Or you could just use Boot Camp for dual boot. Although it seems less preferable.

Thanks for the answers guys. Really appreciate it.
I'll give Blue Harvest a try and install XP on the long run. I just can't stand windows

I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.

In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol

I always thought that capcom shuffled the games in these collection, but apparently they are all in chronological order, which makes legacy collection 2 worthless
