Does OG XBOX HDMI mod work with X3 Chip?

I have a few OG Xbox with mod chips. The latest one I got has a "project stellar" and it has the HDMI mod. I bought this system. After using this xbox for a while, I like my old xbox that has a "X3 chip" but no HDMI mod. Is the HDMI mod compatible with the "X3" chip? I was thinking of looking for a "send in service" for that work. I can solder but that work is a bit to small for myself. I have a HDMI adapter but I prefer the mounted HDMI port. Any thoughts?

It will work with any modchip. I have it installed my XBOX that has a X3 Modchip. You will have to flash a patched m8 or iND bios to the chip. I have them both on banks 5 and 6.

That is awesome to hear. I really do like the X3 better as I can add my own themes to the menu. To bad the "project stellar" didn't live up to the hype. Was looking forward to it because it looked promising. Going to look for a send in service but also going to see if I am able to swap the chips. I had not found a send in service beforehand.

I have briefly seen Cerbios on the web but I have not used it. Does it support dashboard customization? With the X3 the default menu, I am able to edit font and background. I like have that as an option. That is why I wanted to see if the HDMI mod was compatible with the X3. I don't remember if the iND Bios has that option. I used it in a soft mod but don't really remember. I am not familiar with the patched m8 so not sure on that one.
