Hacking Does Ocarina Work on burned game's?

I have copy of mario kart wii NTSC and I use backup Launcher version Gamma002Fix_r2. Wen I apply Ocarina it finds the codes but wen im in game the codes dont seem to work... anyone have any idea if its Gamma or if it that i cant use Ocarina on burned game's Thanx for your time..
