Gaming Does Datel make a Black tool battery?

I bought on amazon from a seller with the name of dim1014. I ordered a Datel Tool Battery which even shows a picture of a Red Datel Tool Battery. I ordered it on July 20th, recieved it today 7/30, but what I recieved is a Black battery which shows:

3.6V
1800mAh
PANDORA
BATTERY

This looks exactly like the one on Deal Extreme for like 10ish dollars and free shipping, I paid 23.00+3.99S/H, Sounds Like I've been ripped off, I'm afraid to even test it, as the battery came from hong kong just in bubble wrap sleeve package w/no box which sounds even more like DX to me. I've E-mailed the guy about this, but also wanted GBATEMP to know that this might be a scam.

Well all Pandora battery works the same way so you're not really scammed unless of course it doesn't do what it's suppose to do. (ie. put PSP into service mode)

You just paid too much for it.

Yeah, same means to an end, you just pay more for "brand" recognition. I just today received my tool battery from DX and upgraded from 3.8 -> 3.71 to 4.01. Fairly straightforward, I must say.

Ok, tried the battery with PSP Grader and I now have 3.90 m33-3 installed, now how do I install the newest 4.01m33-2? there are no stickies for that, thanks!

Network Update, on the left most option in the XMB. Don't forget to plug in the AC adapter.

Will that work through the USB, or do I have to have WiFi? If its WiFi its gonna have to wait a day or 2.

Instead of using the Wi-Fi update, you can just download the updates off of dark-alex.org and do the upgrade after placing them on your memory stick in the PSP/ Game folder.

Unless you got some knockoff you are wrong. My 'red one' works fine as a Pandora's Battery.

Yeah you got the exact one that Dealextreme carries. I bet they get it for no more than 5 dollars from their suppliers, so yeah you got ripped lol.

Datel switched the color awhile ago
some people got red while others got black
