Gaming Does a CIA need an "online patch"?

ive been seeing "mario kart online patched CIA" and such so i wanted to know if my converted 3DS files are safe online.

i converted some .3ds games to CIA and installed them. am i safe?

i heard you dont need a header, what if i download the CIA?

what if the CIA doesnt say online patched?

Cia's use the 3ds's internal header, you'll be completely fine going online.

(I've been using cia's for all the pokemon, trading, battling, using pokebank, etc. I've had nothing happen)

No, and supposedly even different region cias can be used online with no risk but I've never tested it myself
