To be honest, I used to get so addicted to my Cyclo that my grades started to suffer as a result of it. When I tried to put it away for a few weeks, I began to see a steady increase in my grades. Looks like I got addicted to that flashcart really fast.

The only game that has ever affected me school work was Super Mario Galaxy, and that was because I played it for two days straight. What DOES affect my school work is texting, watching TV, and spending too much time on stupid internet forums.

Oh yes, but in both ways. It keeps me from being my absolute best, but at the same time, it gives me something to do when my frustrations get too strong and I need to do something BUT schoolwork.

Double-edged sword, hehe.

Yes it affects my schoolwork. Everytime i get my test back i see numbers and i think oohh 9/10, just one more experience points to level up. And i see those red pen marks that has an X, oh man i just got hit : (.
And i team up with a partner to finish some project, and i let him do the work while i make magic in the background to support him (turn on some music).

LOL jk.

I think procrastination in general affects your schoolwork. If you're playing video games, watching TV, or doing anything but concentrating on your work when you should, it's going to affect it.

Not like playing the games exactly, since i dont play that much
but like. checking up on game forums like GBAtemp
and like making youtube vids for them
those will make me procrastinate
and that will make me do not as good as if i had done homework earlier

Not really. Im working on my homework 6 hours after I get out of school. The only problem though is that time is stretched because I get distracted with GBAtemp.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.
  • Veho @ Veho:
There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
