... Nintendo will do an upgrade for the homebrew of the NDSL or NDS for it to be 'equal' to de DSi...

I know... I know... The DSi as camera, doesn't have GBA slot, etc. but they could do an upgrade so that the NDSL or NDS don't get too far from the DSi.

I know what you mean. Instead of coming out with a new handheld they come out with another version geared even more towards a casual audience.

not only that but a camera of 0.3 megapixels? what is that? even my phone surpasses that and it was one of the fisrt ever to come out with camera...
and still... many games need the gba slot... like pokemon... Platinum came out and with the people that buy the 2 at the same time get prejudiced because plat needs it, not only for the pal park but there are many pokemons that only apper if you have other game on the gba slot

I had completely forgotten about platinum. Maybe they hope people will keep their old dss. The camera doesn't make much sense to me either due to the fact that crap cellphones have a better camera and most phones have the ability to post photos directly online. I guess since the screens are kinda small the photo quality won't matter much. So far it seems kinda gimmicky and a bit overpriced. It costs as much as a psp3000 with inferior hardware and is missing some features. I know it's a bit late but you can't save games to the sd as far as I know, and I'll excuse the shop for now because it's new. My problem is the psp 2 seems like it will be showing up soon and all Nintendo will have to compete against it is the dsi. I really hope Nintendo doesn't expect people to buy 2 handhelds within a short time period. I'd like to have one but I just feel it's not worth the price. Well atleast the ds still has better games than the psp.

WoW... someone that completely agrees with me xD And I won't buy the DSi... Although I have all the incarnations of the Game Boy (pocket, color, advance, advance sp and not the micro cuzs i prefered the ds xD) i think this time the DSL perfectly guides my hours of boredom to absolutely fun (well only when i'm not f*cked up with my life --') xD

This is the first time I am not excited about a Nintendo handheld. I kinda want but I don't need or want the new features. Hopefully dsiware will be reasonably priced and the store will have some great games that aren't directed to the casual gamer.

Ninty's plan will be to eliminate the DSlite altogether. Once the install base of the DSi reaches the levels the DSL has, bye-bye DSlite. Just like they did with the GBA, just like they did with the DSphat, so will they do with the DSlite.

You see, the DSi can update its firmware, the DSphat/lite cannot. Just wait 'till they start blacklisting "i" flashcarts on the DSi, then let me know how great you think the DSi is compared to the DSL.

Yes a camera is a camera and even $15 phones have a camera.
I'm the only one who said the cameras were crap. Considering most people have cellphones especially in Japan, the camera seems a bit unnecessary.

Bullshit, they were half assed colors and the difference wasn't that great.

The fact that the DSi has 4x the amount of RAM is a much more significant upgrade.
