Hacking Do you need a 3dz file to play local multiplayer?

changing the extension is as simple as renaming a .3ds to .3dz if your using a gateway card of course

Thanks for the help. For local mulitplayer do I also need to inject a header or can I just change the extension?

I played Fantasy Life in local multiplayer without changing the extension to .3dz
To play 'online' multiplayer then i needed to change the extension and inject the header.

Local Play = over network not internet

So no worries about ban hammer


Online play = using internet

You will need private headers.


If you have Gateway 3DS use .CIA version of game which does not need headers and can play online.

Sky3DS needs headers.
