I can confirm the last 4 but havn't tried the first one yet. Its on the To Play list of GBA games (man, that list must be at least 20 games long..)

Golden Sun 1 doesn't allow you to access the soft-save menu, but it doesn't really matter and everything else works without a problem.

Sorry for my bad english. I have a very strange problem. When i save game (Zelda: A link to the past) in "G6L Menu" (XYAB+LR) and then load this save, the black screen appears. Music is on and i can "play" the game, but screen is black. What is the problem? Please help.

Yeah, I know exactly what problem you mean. I had the same thing, and managed to find a nice 'hack' around it.

Basically, it will give you a black screen if the save was in a dungeon and you load the game when you are not controlling Link already. For example, if you load right after dying (on the game over screen), you will load up a black screen. On the other hand, if you load from the overmap you will load the save properly.

Now, there is not much point of an instant save if you have to load your normal file just to load your instant save, is there? So this is what I did:

1. Go out in the overworld and soft save it to save slot 3. This will take a a much longer time to save, but will also load quicker (at least on the M3)

2. Play as you normally would, but only soft-save to either save slot 1 or save slot 2. Keep the save slot 3 save in the overworld.

3. Now, whenever you die you can load save 3 whenever you want without worrying about the black screen. After it loads (which will be almost instantly), load softsave slot 1 (or slot 2 if thats where you keep your softsave). Now it should work perfectly.

4. Enjoy this great game

I hope that helps, please tell me if that works for you as well.

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
