Do games read/play faster from internal storage, as compared to a genuine SD card?

I was just wondering and didn't know if anyone has actually clocked games to see if there was a difference.

Not much of a difference to be fair. The extra few seconds of waiting ain't that bad
I was more curious if CPU/GPU Intense games (like gta, etc) could be better at all by installing it to internal storage, instead of sd card. Will it read the necessary game files faster if on internal, so will that affect game play also, eg game engine reading files faster?

It won't help with GTA because game when assets loading queue is taking too long, game hangs until asset queue is finished.

This is issue with remaster itself since original didn't have this issue. You could drive without hanging game even if assets were loading too slow, so you had issue with draw distance at high speeds instead.
And this issue doesn't lay in read speeds, but in CPU/GPU and bad game code that is poorly optimized to process those assets. UE4 engine's bloat doesn't help too.
