Title says, I finally found an exploit that is compatible with my European Nintendo DSi, and I found this tutorial that allows me to install DSiWare backups, just to get into the modding. I remember I had saved some DSiWare games to my computer, but they are from the region USA. I'd like to know if these can lock my DSi or won't work at all, because DSi-exclusive games have region lock.

Does this method of DSiWare installation involve TWLnf? If it does, then it's horribly outdated, as we now know that it's a dangerous tool. HiyaCFW lets you load backups by just dropping them in the right folders.
But anyways, I'd assume they don't have region locking as the region-specific shops already do that, but I may be wrong.

Yep with hiya I have loads of dsiware from different regions all running fine

Oh, nevermind, I found my answer:

I need to install a custom firmware.
I already installed some anti-brick protection.
