Gaming Do chicks like playing the Wii?

ANyway it's getting offtopic, i really really don't care how old you are and who has played the oldest games. No honour to be gained with showing off what you have played, it's just well a bit sad

i'm only defending myself, it's on a regular basis that i get stereotypes from gamer guys like you saying we don't exist (and we play barbie & pony games

) and each time it annoys me a lot.

Well my girlfriend never had any console, while I started on my big bro's Atari

So little by little I'm trying to get her to play more... For the moment she only plays Mario Kart Double Dash on my Gamecube, and likes Wario Ware Touched! (particularly the little bouncing balloon game Orbit ball or something)

She told me she would definitely want to play the Wii if I ever got one (she even wanted to offer me one at some point!), so I guess the games I'll buy first would be Rayman Raving Rabbits 2, and Wario Ware... (Well and Zelda of course! But that's off topic I guess since that would be for me)


Anyway I'm really glad of the direction Ninty is taking, since I enjoy more and more "Pick your pad / stylus, and have fun in seconds" over time-consuming game... And that way I can play with my Gf too

But to answer your question: yes they do like the wii, but so does everyone who isn't a hardcore gamer.
Just expect that they probably wont like the same games you like. So mostly no Red Steel, Medal Of Honor and that sort of stuff

Nah most females here anyway don't seem to mind. I even call my girlfriend tart or bitch sometimes, I don't mean it and she knows that and I don't mean no disrespect either she even responds and call me bitch, bastard, tart in the same manner as me.

as for the topic, I've found girls will like any game just as long as you don't patronize them.
Back in highschool, some of my female class mates were very competent in halo, nightfire, street fighter etc. I would walk in regularly to find 4 of the girls running round zanzibar.
Still, there were (I hate using the term) some casual gamers, both male and female, only really played mario kart and mario party.

Basically, don't classify people before they try a "hardcore" game, they will probably really enjoy it, and I mean come on, who doesn't enjoy gaming?

well to stay on topic thought i would add that my fiancée loves the wii.
she really likes wii sports and warioware, think they are her favourite so far.

also for ds (she has her own) games like brain training, warioware, nintendogs, clubhouse games, various platformers etc etc

actually shes kind of a gaming girl, owns a ds, gamecube, ps2 etc etc so its kinda cool, and the only girl i have ever known that has completed zelda: ocarina of time
