I have been using retro arch frontend and snes next emulator. These kind of suck. I think both nearest and linear filter don't look great and the controls are laggy. Plus the front end design of retro arch blows. Compared to emulators on the wii, they kind of not good. Any better options?

You're comparing a console that's blown wide open with software only and your avarage joe could make homebrew for, to a console that's only hacked with hardware, losing every bit of Live functionality....

Yeh the homebrew scene on the 360 never came off off the ground much.
You're far better off with a Wii when it comes to emulation purposes.

I don't like the frontend in RetroArch either. But don't forget there's RetroArch on the Wii too and I'm guessing the frontend is much the same on that as well. As with the Wii there are probably other options for emulation, have a look around. I know very little about emulation on the 360 but RetroArch is rather new and the 360 has been hacked for ages so there must be other options available.

True points everyone. Maybe I was bein too harsh those guys do things I couldn't do just getting an emulator working. I was trying to get everything on the xbox and was disappointed by the emulators. I'll stick to the wii for emulators.

i have xbox and wii so emus on them be better than 360? no need to rgh at all if thats the case

Their better on the Wii and Xbox yep.
360's homebrew is just meh.
It's such a shame that there's so few hacked.

The only real purpose for JTAG back then was for kids to host COD games >_>
Even today, search the web and youtube.
All of the vids/ads are of JTAGs/RGH with COD games.

As far as emulation goes, RetroArch is one of the best for the Wii if you go that route (better than GX because there's no frame skipping BS, so games run full speed on NES, Megadrive/Genesis, Snes. Not to mention you don't have the weird menu audio issue when entering/exiting the menu) :PComplaints about the GUI be damned :D

thank you, will look for my old xbox and softmod it then and do with the wii for the meantime lol hows the ps3 hold up for emus?

PS3 on emu's......
Honestly no idea but dun expect much out of it tho.
They did manage to hack around sony's PS2 emu and make it run with PS2 ISO's on Cobra hybrid firmwares.
Other then that.
I think the same/slightly better then the 360 ;p

thank for the info, will use will for n64 and gc and use ps3 for snes and the like (my mate had it and looked fine to me at the time)
