Hacking DLDI

I am very new with a slot one device and my head is hurting trying to get more than 1 skin on the DS at a time... -.-
Sorry if this a nooby question but I can't seem to get a account on teamcyclops.com, I mean, I made one but has little to no access around the website for contact or download(such as skin downloads). Could anyone help me understand what is a DLDI, and if its not too annoying...The skinning issue I have please...

You patch homebrew with DLDI so it can access files on your memory card. That way, the author doesn't have to code file access scripts for every single flashcart, he just 'leaves a gap' in the code where you can put a patch.

The Cyclo DS Evolution AUTOMATICALLY DLDI patches homebrew applications -> you have to do nothing to make them work.

If some app doesn't work, and you think that it should, create a thread in the Bug Reporting forum at the official site.
