If you don't want a perma brick, make sure your 3DS firmware is up-to-date. You can only MCU brick on firmwares below 8.1.
There's an option to turn the feature off.

yls8 must have been on an ancient firmware when he bricked (like 4.x or something), so I guess that was the reason why he bricked. Also, Ninty got their shit together a bit more with the release of the new3DS, so that's why it got stable at 8.1/9.0

wut. it's perfectly safe! it's as safe as using the 3DS sytem itself... at least on 8.1 and above, below that there's indeed a brick warning!

Try waiting 'til the 3DS HOME Menu tells you that you're connected to the internet.

Try the DSTT/R4i-SDHC pack, but YSMenu (which loads the ROMs on the flashcard) might brick your flashcard, so be careful.

I've got a problem here.
Already done the steps and everything but i can't get the Twloader side to be installed in sysnand (or emunand, im confused right now)...

And the output is the "black screen with turn off to continue"....


My N3DSxl is on Sysnand 9.2.0-20E, Emunand, and i use it on Emunand 11.1.0-34E (on Luma)
From there i get FBI old and latest version to install everything, because i cant get nothing installed on sysnand (things doesnt show up, not even FBI is there)
From FBI old version (the DOS like one)
I get this installing the TWLOADER side.cia:

from FBI latest, and DevMenu, i cant get the option to install cias in NAND, so i couldn't try with those

From what i've read, maybe its something with the NANDs linkage, but i dont know where to start, hoping that someone stumbled in the same problem, because, i dont think this will be a easy fix.... i mean "the hard reset format everything easyfix"...

Make sure you have latest TWLoader. If so, try pressing Y to update to latest commit. I have no idea why it won't work for you.

No matter what I try, I keep booting into a white screen after the DSi menu after selecting the rom. Tried turning console output on and still does the same thing. Trying to load Mario Kart DS/Pokemon platinum.

If it's less than 1 second, that means it didn't update. This is not normal.

To other users, can you update your bootstrap just fine?

It means save chip type. If one of your DS carts have the same save chip type as MKDS, the game will work.

After several hours I managed to install the TW Loader (to emunand) and the other app.cia (to sysnand). The problem is whenever I launch a neods.nds (or any other nds) i got an error that something went wrong and I need to restart my system and see the operation's manual. Could you please advice? I'm out of ideas.
