Hey, when i start SM64DS the screen goes black saying 'an error as occured, press the power buttom to turn the console off' and the rainbow led also appears.

I put all folders from sdroot on SD card root, instaled the cia from _nds/twloader/cia and TWLoader.cia

I'm using AuReiNand, A9LH, 11.2.0-35U.

Do i need Luma for this? I also didnt do the banner thing.

I dont have a PC at the moment so i did all this with my cellphone.

I read somewhere that Luma does some patching needed for this to work. I think Luma is the updated version of AuReiNand anyways.

Change to Luma3ds, AuReiNand changed its name to Luma3ds and it let's you go further into loading ROMS

I don't like the idea of an app taking control of the led. MCU brick, is perma brick. Not even a hardmod can recover. So I'm no longer interested in this homebrew.

AFAIK the notification led is safe. Also, you can dissable the led in TWLoader settings

I see, i had this for a long time, and it was working just fine i never bother to update it, guess it was my bad.

Ok i got it to work, but when i went to adventure and pick a save file, the game took like 2-3 mins to start (was in white screen during that time).

Then during the 1st cutscene the game was freezing bit, and after that the screen stayed black for another 2-3 mins.

Then when i was going to start controlling yoshi, the game froze completly.

o3DS issues?

It's normal for this release of TWL Loader. It uses nds-bootstrap to load retail games and it must code all of the NDS functions and commands for all the games to work.

nds-bootstrap will be updating through time and let more games to be played (eventually be able to save, right now it looks for an official inserted cart to save, I recommend not having any DS cart inserted in your 3ds). If you have the latest release of TWL loader you will get automatic updates for both TWL and nds-bootstrap. I recommend checking every week the software to see if anything changes.

From what I gather you can only MCU brick from this(LED control) on firmwares below 8.1.

Turn on game location switcher in Settings.

If you don't want a perma brick, make sure your 3DS firmware is up-to-date. You can only MCU brick on firmwares below 8.1.
There's an option to turn the feature off.
