Hardware Disassemble Wii DVD drive guide?

As the title says, there is a guide on how to disassemble the Wii DVD drive?

how far are you looking to disassemble it? if you follow any of the guides out there for disassembling the wii system, you will be able to remove the drive itself.

changing a faulty logic board is fairly straight forward requiring you to remove 3 ribbon cables and then unsolder about 6-8 wires.

I will not solder the PCB, but just take it all out and in with it again.

I have taken off the case of the DVD drive. As I did so it fell by a black piece from the case. When I put it back so it does not sit still. I take the case upside down and it drops off again.
And this thingamajig made ??of metal on the black piece, is it right?



And where should this piece be? It fell off when I opened the DVD drive.

I think I've fixed this black piece. This metal piece should sit like this, I think.
