some people don't actually have their real NAND hacked, just an emuNAND and bannerbomb.

how?
I didn't know of any emunand that didn't require ios or boot2 changes.
Casper with the abstinence wizard in ModMii can load NEEK on a Wii without softmodding Edit: whoops a little late just seen etheboss's post :P
The only reason you would use GCReEx or DiscEx is for compression.
well... and for NEEK.
Also I've stated that I've seen significant speed increases in game booting and reading for certain games with GCReEx

Yeah, or Letterbomb if you are on 4.3E..with a little help of casper.
Modmii can set it all up for you very easy with the abstinance wizard.
Talking of that, I thought neek2o needed at least bootmii in IOS.
I think that's what casper does. It loads BootMii without it having to be installed first. It loads it from the SD card. Good point, though, about neek2o not needing the sys folder anymore.

Can anyone help me? I have v2.2 and I dumped with Cleanrip and loaned the disc out. Now when I try to load Mega Man X Collection, the game freezes in the beginning animation of the game. Is there anything I can do?

Try the different video mode options...

I tried multiple video modes and it still does not go passed the capcom thing.

Sorry to hear that.
Did you convert your image to either DiscEx or GCReEx format?
The game looks OK in the compatibility list, so if all the other games are fine and you have the options set to default, then it might be a problem with the image. I suggested playing with the video modes because I've read posts about other collections that emulate games from older systems, having issues with the video mode. Another thing you might want to try is changing your Wii's video mode from 480p to 480i or vice-versa (the opposite of what you have now), to see if this is the problem.

I used DiscEx to put it in the right format. I also tried changing the format of the wii itself, still no dice. It won't let me go to HD. Maybe something wrong with my Wii or with the booter?

I got to the end of my very limited knowledge, unfortunately.
I'm sure someone will be able to help you but it gets a little slow here weekend nights.
You might want to do a search for that game in this forum to see if others have had this problem.
I hope you can fix it.

It's weird cause Megaman X Collection works just fine for me, of course in DML cause I still get black screen with no splash screen with all games if I try to load from USB in DM!

I thought the Mega Man X Collection used the horrific 240p and if I'm not mistaken, most HDTVs don't natively support that unconventional resolution. I have this exact problem and I changed the compatibility list to reflect that issue.

Does it ever hang at the Capcom animation? That is all mine does no matter what configuration the Wii is on.
See below. You might need to use composite cables for this one, which sucks.

Ah! So you're the one I read complaining about that. It looks like this remains an issuse.
You updated the old compat list, but Crediar now keeps his own:

Well, someone should let him know since I can't just change it; the status is misleading, those who have HDTVs may or may not be able to play games with 240p/240i resolutions.

But that's not a DIOS MIOS compatibility issue, is it?

Happens in both Dios Mios and Dios Mios Lite; a majority of HDTVs will not support native 240p without the aid of a third party video downscaling device, which are expensive. It must be marked as "issues with video" or something to that effect. Boy, Capcom REALLY screwed that port up.

The game does display on my parent's Sony Bravia LCD TV, but not on the one I have (which is a 32" Vizio...I know, I chose a crappy brand).

The system menu broadcasts in 480i/p all the time so that shouldn't have anything to do with it. The megaman thing isn't even a Dios Mios issue. Retail copies of the game would broadcast at 240p as well.
