Thank you themanual for the link
Thanks to Crediar for this handy tool :)
It's a great addition, for certain.
How is NMM working for you, in terms of compatibility?
I'm guessing the compatibility list might be outdated as far as NMM support.
I'll try animal crossing tonight and post back ;)

Well, GCI2NMM tested with animal crossing, the game just shown the opening movie and I cannot press start (however it seems that NMM doesn't work with this game in the first place)

I deleted the game folder from sd/saves and the game starts normally now.
So yes, the converted save did not work.

Yeah nice work trying it with a game were NMM doesn't even work with ...check the compatibility list before trying!

I have somewhat of a noob 2 part question. I modded my wii via Modmii I installed all the recommended wads, so to play GC games would I still need to install DML wad? And do I need to install anything else to launch the games. I have wiiflow channel and usbloader installed. I guess what I'm wondering is what exactly is required to play GC games?

You only need the DML wad installed and a loader that supports DML (pick one):
http://code.google.com/p/cfg-loader-mod/
http://code.google.com/p/open-wiiflow-mod/
http://code.google.com/p/postloader/downloads/list
http://code.google.com/p/usbloader-gui/issues/detail?id=1769#c1979

sorry guys if this seems dumb but how do you save games with dml if you dont own a gamecube memory card? Ive been out of the loop for quite some time...Ive read the guide on installing dml but nowhere in it does it mention game saves?

use the NMM varient, this enables GCMC emulation as it were on the SD, not all games work mind as its still in early development

Just to ask, what application is useful to dump saves from a third-party NGC Memory Card for use with GCI2NMM? As I've downloaded Swiss and GCMM, if either of those are useful at all.

GCMM can do the job just fine, it produces perfectly fine working gci files for gci2nmm :)

r54 with no-disc support got commited

no-disc patching started, thanks for the donation requests!

-added no-disc patches
-added a new config value to control no-disc

Note: Not all games are working without a disc yet, see the compatibility list.
Note: if the loader supports it (SNEEK doesn't) those patches might even allow no-drive as well

how exactly does one enable the no disc support in config.h? I've taken a look at the structure, but I don't really understand how to enable the patches.

Change line in global.h file from:
//#define NODISC 1
to
#define NODISC 1

No need to edit config.h just change the line in globlal.h as conanac posted.

If anyone are going to try with an emulated NAND Rev55 doesn't work with Sneek+DI but rev54 works perfect with no-disc support.
Crediar said not all games are compatible at this stage.

Another vote for GCMM on third party cards. It allows you dump all your saves at once. Swiss is more capable because it allows you to do dump also from an official card, but you have to do each save at a time and it is not intuitive as to how to do it.
So:
- third party card: GCMM
- Nintendo card: Swiss
